I Wasn’t Broken. I Was Undiagnosed.
The Story
I came to America from the Caribbean at 14 with one dream: become a doctor. That dream felt like destiny, like the entire reason I existed.
But life had other plans.
The cultural shock hit hard. Everything I knew about how to be in the world suddenly didn’t work. By 21, depression had swallowed my medical school dreams whole.
I spent the next 25 years convinced I was fundamentally broken. Too scattered. Too emotional. Too much and somehow also not enough. I got really good at surviving. At doing what was expected. At making everyone else’s dreams come true while mine gathered dust in the corners of my heart.
Then, at 50, I got diagnosed with ADHD.
And everything I thought I knew about myself fell apart in the best possible way. All those years of feeling “different,” the executive function challenges, the hyperfocus followed by chaos. I wasn’t broken. I was wired differently. And nobody had told me.
The Spiritual Shift
Growing up Caribbean meant growing up in church. Faith was woven into everything - Sunday services, daily prayers, unquestioned beliefs. But as I got older, especially during my depression years, church felt... hollow. I'd cry every time I went, and I couldn't understand why.
Slowly, I realized I wasn't losing my faith. I was finding it.
The rigid rules weren't feeding my soul anymore. I needed something deeper, more personal, more connected to my actual experience. I started trusting my intuition, exploring meditation, understanding that my relationship with the divine was mine to define.
This spiritual evolution taught me something profound: The answers I was seeking were already within me.
Who This Is For
Around my 50th birthday, everything crystallized. My depression, my diagnosis, my spiritual journey, my years of feeling like I didn't fit anywhere — it all suddenly had a purpose.
I wasn't meant to heal bodies. I was meant to help souls.
This space is for you if you've ever felt:
Too old to start something new
Too behind because your life didn't follow the "normal" timeline
Too guilty for wanting more than just getting by
Too different because you've outgrown beliefs that used to fit
If that's you, I need you to hear this: your struggles aren't disqualifying you from your purpose. They're preparing you for it.

1. STRUGGLES AS SACRED PREPARATION
"Your pain has purpose, your breakdown becomes breakthrough"
We believe that mental health challenges, life trauma, and difficult experiences aren't evidence of brokenness - they're evidence of capacity to feel deeply, survive much, and develop wisdom that can only come through lived experience.
This means:
Depression can be spiritual preparation for helping others through darkness
ADHD and neurodivergence are differences, not defects
Late diagnoses are liberations, not limitations
Every struggle develops capacities for serving others
Healing is not about becoming who you were before - it's about becoming who you were always meant to be
2. DREAMS WITHOUT EXPIRATION DATES
"Your timeline is perfect for you"
We reject society's schedule for women's lives and believe that authentic dreams can be pursued at any age, with the wisdom and resources that come from lived experience being advantages, not disadvantages.
This means:
Starting over at 50+ is courage, not crisis
Life experience is qualification, not limitation
Late bloomers often bloom most brilliantly
Your desires are valid regardless of your age
The best chapters of your life can still be unwritten
3. INNER KNOWING OVER EXTERNAL AUTHORITY
"Trust the wisdom that lives within you"
We believe that each woman has access to divine guidance through her own intuition and inner knowing, and that spiritual growth often means outgrowing external structures that no longer serve authentic development.
This means:
Your relationship with the divine is yours to define
Questioning beliefs can deepen rather than diminish faith
Moving beyond traditional religion doesn't mean losing spirituality
Your intuition is a valid source of guidance
Spiritual evolution is natural and necessary for authentic living
4. PERMISSION FROM WITHIN
"You already have everything you need to begin"
We believe that women have been conditioned to seek permission for their own desires and that true empowerment comes from learning to give yourself permission to want more, start over, and prioritize your own growth and happiness.
This means:
You don't need anyone's approval to pursue your dreams
Family resistance to your growth is normal and not your responsibility to manage
Wanting more than survival is not selfish - it's healthy
Setting boundaries is self-respect, not selfishness
Your needs and desires matter as much as anyone else's
5. AUTHENTIC VULNERABILITY AS STRENGTH
"Your real story is your greatest gift"
We believe that sharing our struggles honestly creates connection, healing, and hope for others walking similar paths, and that vulnerability is not weakness but the foundation of authentic leadership and meaningful impact.
This means:
Imperfect authenticity beats perfect pretense every time
Your struggles qualify you to help others, not disqualify you
Sharing your real story gives others permission to be real too
Leadership is not about having it all figured out - it's about being honest about the journey
Wounds become wisdom when shared with love
6. COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION
"We rise by lifting each other"
We believe that women's empowerment is not a zero-sum game and that sharing resources, celebrating others' successes, and creating supportive communities multiplies rather than diminishes individual success.
This means:
Other women's success doesn't diminish your own
Sharing opportunities and resources creates abundance for all
Celebrating late bloomers inspires more late blooming
Peer support is as valuable as professional guidance
We're all walking each other home
7. HOLISTIC INTEGRATION
"Mind, body, spirit, and dreams work together"
We believe that true transformation requires addressing the whole person - mental health, spiritual development, physical wellbeing, and dream pursuit are all interconnected aspects of authentic living.
This means:
Mental health support and dream pursuit work together, not against each other
Spiritual practices enhance rather than replace practical action
Physical wellbeing supports emotional and spiritual growth
Professional mental health care and peer support complement each other
Sustainable transformation addresses all aspects of being human
8. CULTURAL WISDOM AND INDIVIDUAL TRUTH
"Honor your roots while growing your branches"
We believe that cultural background and family traditions can be sources of wisdom and strength while also acknowledging that authentic growth sometimes means evolving beyond inherited beliefs and expectations.
This means:
Your cultural background is a source of strength, not limitation
Honoring ancestors doesn't mean copying their choices
Immigrant and cultural displacement experiences create unique wisdom
Traditional wisdom and modern authenticity can coexist
Your individual truth matters as much as collective traditions
