Day 23: Wear Something That Makes You Feel Powerful

Today’s challenge is simple but bold:
Put on something that makes you feel powerful.

Not something that’s trendy.
Not something that hides you.
Not something you should wear.

Something that reminds you of who you are.
That outfit that makes you stand a little taller.
That color that brings out your fire.
That lipstick, scarf, dress, or blazer that makes you feel like, “Yes. This is me.”

Style isn’t just about fashion—it’s about energy.
What we wear affects how we move through the world.
And when you’ve been through enough in life (and honey, we have),
you realize: you get to dress for the woman you’re becoming.

Not the one people expect.
Not the one you used to be.
But the woman you are now.

Why this matters:

So often, women—especially over 50—feel invisible.
We downplay ourselves. Dress to disappear.
But there is no age limit on feeling fabulous.
You don’t need a reason to look and feel good. Feeling good is the reason.

This is about power.
This is about presence.
This is about owning your space again.

Try this:

  • Go to your closet.

  • Pick something that makes you feel like you.

  • Maybe it’s bold. Maybe it’s soft. Maybe it’s loud. Maybe it’s cozy.

  • Whatever makes you feel most alive—wear it. Even if it’s just in the house.

Bonus: Take a picture. Look at her.
That’s not just clothes.
That’s confidence.

Your Turn:

What are you wearing today to reclaim your power?

Tag me @FabAtFiftyPlus or use #FabMentalHealthMay and show me your look—or tell me how it made you feel.

Because dressing for your power isn’t vanity.
It’s vibrancy.
And you deserve to shine.
