Day 7: “I’m Grateful for You” – Send the Text.

Today’s challenge is simple. But don’t let that fool you—it’s powerful.

Text someone and say:
“I’m grateful for you.”

That’s it. Just those few words. No big speech. No fancy explanation.
Just a reminder that they matter.

Because here’s the truth—life gets busy, and people forget they’re loved.
We assume our people know we care.
But sometimes they don’t.
Sometimes they’re sitting in their own storm, wondering if anyone sees them at all.

You never know what a small message can do.

When I was in one of my lowest seasons, a text like that could lift my whole day.
It didn’t fix everything, but it reminded me that I wasn’t invisible.
That I still mattered to someone.

And you never outgrow the need to feel seen.

So today, I want you to think of someone who’s been good to you.
Maybe they’ve supported you through hard times.
Maybe they’ve made you laugh when you needed it most.
Maybe they’re always the one checking in—or maybe they need checking on today.

Whoever comes to mind first—that’s your person.

Here’s your script if you need it:

“Hey, I just wanted you to know I’m grateful for you. That’s all.💛”

You don’t need a reason.
Gratitude is the reason.

Why this matters:
Mental health isn’t just about what happens inside us.
It’s also about who surrounds us.
Connection is a healing balm. It reminds us we belong. That we’re loved. That we’re not alone.

And when you send that text? Don’t be surprised if one comes back your way.

Your Turn:
Send the text.
Then take a deep breath and feel what it’s like to give love without needing anything back.
(Though don’t be shocked if you get a few tears and a big "thank you.")

Tag me if you want to share who you’re grateful for today @FabAtFiftyPlus or use #FabMentalHealthMay.

Because love doesn’t have to be loud.
Sometimes, it just has to be sent.
